Let's Teach Our Daughters How To Dress Like Ladies

Picture this, you are walking on the boardwalk, the ocean breeze is gentle and comforting, and your summer dress is blowing in the breeze. Brings a peaceful thought doesn't it?

Summer dresses can be sexy whether they are worn long or short. There are strapless, short sleeves, halter, tank, sleeveless and wraps. These sexy fashions are the coolest way to maintain your femininity while beating the summer heat. Throw those jeans in the back of your closet. Wearing a summer dress does not necessarily mean you have turned girlish, it only means, you are smart enough to know how to stay cool, in the blistering heat.

Of course, wearing a summer dress will prevent one from some of those summer sports. You won't find women on horseback in a dress these days. When riding side saddle, back in the day was the only way for a woman to ride, dresses were acceptable. But then, slacks were forbidden in those days too.

Can we all rejoice the thought of change? If someone hadn't had the good sense to tell hard nose man that showing shoulders is not an invitation to sex, where would we all be now? I shutter to think. Anyway, Jackie O did us all a favor when she showed us that it was okay to wear a form fitted summer dress. It was summer dress sexy, fashion at its finest. That sophisticated style of sexy, summer dress has put a spotlight of fashion, and gave us all something more to look forward to in the years to come.

The best thing about sexy summer dress fashion is the ability we have to dress them up or dress them down. We can wear them to work and then out on the town for cocktails, or we can wear them to the beach and then on to dinner at a fine restaurant without blinking an eye. Hat's off to you designers who have made dressing so much easier for us ladies.

Let's talk about mini dresses for a second. If you have a tiny frame or medium frame, these mini dresses are just as sexy with flat sandals as they are with high heels. Just don't forget what you are wearing when you sit, and please don't bend from the hips. No one wants to see what you are wearing under those dresses. Be a lady and bend at the knee, and remember to keep the knees together.

It is unfortunate, we have to tell ladies how to be ladies, but with some of the things I have seen, something has to be said. What happened to mother's? Have we gotten so busy and self-absorbed, that we forgot that our little girls need our guidance? I hope we see a better generation of ladies than the past few that have been our representatives of femininity

If we can show our daughters that our ideas are the good enough for them, maybe we can win the battle of young vs. old. It will just take a little encouragement and a lot of support from us.
